1. Yokosuka ITS Research Center
Telecommunications Advancement Organization of Japan (TAO) launched a project of Information Communication Technology for ITS in 1999, founded Yokosuka ITS Research Center in Yokosuka Research Park, the center of mobile communications research, and commenced research and development activities. R&D has been started to convert automobiles which are just a simple means of transportation into moving offices. Academic institutions, industry and government work together to achieve this.
